Bevilles Diamond Care Plan Services are:

  • Jewellery cleaning and inspection
  • Ring sizing up to 2 ring sizes*
  • Re-tipping claws
  • Stone tightening
  • Professional clean and polish
  • Earring post repair
  • Chain and bracelet repairs and soldering, including clasp replacement
  • White gold rhodium plating (maximum once every 12 months per item)
  • Resetting diamonds and gemstones

Diamond Care Plan Terms and Conditions

These terms and conditions apply when you purchase the Bevilles Diamond Care Plan (Terms and Conditions). It is a legal agreement between you and Fine Jewellery Retail AU Pty Ltd (ABN 57 168 234 160) (Bevilles, us or we). By purchasing the Bevilles Care Plan (Care Plan), you warrant and represent to us that you have read and understood these Terms and Conditions and agree to be bound by them.

What is covered under the Care Plan?

The Care Plan covers diamond set Bevilles products. The Care Plan may only be purchased in respect of an item of jewellery purchased from us (Eligible Purchase) at the time that you made the initial purchase. Under the Bevilles Care Plan, we will provide you with additional services in relation to your product purchase at no further cost to you (except for the fees for the Care Plan). Your Care Plan covers parts and labour costs up to the value of the original purchase price of the product covered under this Care Plan (Services).

These Services include:

  • Jewellery cleaning and inspection
  • Ring sizing (up to 2 ring sizes; maximum once every 12 months); *Note that the Bevilles Care Plan does not cover re-shanking of rings and certain styles of ring that are not suitable for resizing – they are excluded from the resizing service under the Bevilles Care Plan
  • Re-tipping claws
  • Stone tightening
  • Professional clean and polish
  • Earring post repair
  • Repairs to chains and bracelets, including soldering and clasp replacement
  • White gold rhodium plating (maximum once every 12 months per item)
  • Resetting diamonds and gemstones
What is not covered?

The Bevilles Care Plan does not cover:

  • Accidental or deliberate physical damage
  • Damage due to: misuse; tampering; modifications not undertaken by us, alterations not undertaken by us; repairs not undertaken by us or a failure to follow the manufacturer’s instructions
  • Loss of stones or other parts of the covered product (unless caused by a manufacturing fault or defect)
  • Cosmetic damage from normal wear and tear including scratches, peeling and dents that do not impede the mechanical function of the product
  • Re-shanking of rings
  • Damage due to third-party actions or circumstances (for example fire, vandalism, theft etc.)
  • Preventative maintenance
  • Flaws in gemstones
  • Any loss other than a covered breakdown of the product
  • Accessories used in conjunction with a covered product
  • Loss of use or any form of consequential damages
  • Damage that is covered under the Australian Consumer Law or by another warranty or service plan.
How do I obtain Services under the Care Plan?

When ordering your product online, the Care Plan will be sent with your product(s). Please retain this Care Plan and your original sales docket for the product and this Care Plan in a safe location. In order to obtain any Service under the Care Plan, you must produce this Care Plan and the original sales docket for the product and Care Plan payment, at the time of requesting the Service.

If you are an Eternity Club member, you will only need to bring your product in store for Service - we will have a record of your Care Plan linked to your Eternity Club number. Bevilles may refuse to provide the Services if you do not provide the documentation required above.

If you are not located near one of our stores and you purchased the care plan online. You will need to post the item to our Head Office, so that the services can be carried out on your product. Postage to Bevilles Head Office is covered by the customer.

Australian Consumer Law Rights

The Services provided under the Care Plan are additional to the guarantee provided to you under any additional warranty and our obligations under Australian Consumer Law. The Services provided under the plan in no way limit your existing rights under Australian Consumer Law.

Bevilles obligations under Australian Consumer Law relating to goods

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

Bevilles obligations under Australian Consumer Law relating to goods and services

Our goods and services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. For major failures with the service, you are entitled:

  • to cancel your service contract with us; and
  • to a refund for the unused portion, or to compensation for its reduced value.

You are also entitled to choose a refund or replacement for major failures with goods. If a failure with the goods or a service does not amount to a major failure, you are entitled to have the failure rectified in a reasonable time. If this is not done you are entitled to a refund for the goods and to cancel the contract for the service and obtain a refund of any unused portion. You are also entitled to be compensated for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage from a failure in the goods or service.

Term of coverage

The Care Plan begins on the date that you purchase the Care Plan and continues until either 3 years or 10 years after the purchase date of the Care Plan (depending on which Care Plan you purchase), or until the aggregated value of the Services you receive under this Care Plan is equal to the price that you paid for the covered item.

Cancellation

You may cancel and obtain a full refund of the purchase price of the Care Plan within 30 days of purchase of the Care Plan, provided that you have not claimed any Services under the Care Plan.

Value of services

The value that you receive for each of the Services specified under the Care Plan will be determined by the then-current price for that Service, as set by Bevilles. We may change Service prices, at our discretion, without notifying you.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Bevilles total aggregate liability under or in relation to this Care Plan is the purchase price of the product.

This means that if:

  • the total value of all authorised Services under this Care Plan is equal to or more than purchase price of the product, or,
  • the original product is replaced with another of equal or greater retail value under this Care Plan, then, we will have met all obligations our under this Care Plan and no further claims can be made under the Care Plan and the Care Plan will be at an end.
